Streets in Hackett are named after scientists. Hackett is next to Watson, Dickson and Ainslie. It is bounded by Antill Street and Philip Avenue, and the Canberra Nature Park of Mount Ainslie/Mount Majura, with Mount Majura located behind Hackett to the east.
